  • What if my retainer doesn’t fit?

  • Does Retainer Club straighten my teeth?
Retainer Club retains your teeth in their current position. We do not straighten or otherwise move your teeth, that's the job of your orthodontist or dentist. We view our job as taking the baton from your orthodontist so that when they finish straightening your teeth, we help you keep them straight for the rest of your life.
  • What are Retainer Club retainers made of?
When it comes to retainer material, there are literally thousands of options. We use several types but our most common material (and the only material we use unless we receive special instructions from your doctor) is an .040" Essix Brand PLUS material. It has proven to be the most comfortable and best performing material.
  • Is it bad that my retainer is 4 years old?
Yes! You change your toothbrush every 3 months and those are only in your mouth for 4 minutes a day. Retainers are working for 6-8 hours a day, and over time, they become loose and harbor bacteria. At Retainer Club, we love the fit, feel, and performance of a clean, new retainer. A fresh retainer helps you protect your investment and is a key to overall oral health.
  • I have never had a 'scan' of my teeth before but I still need new retainers. What do I do?
No problem - a quick, comfortable 3D scan from a Retainer Clubâ„¢ provider is the beginning of your Retainer Club experience. It's your key to low cost, perfectly fitting retainers that are mailed to your home. Schedule your Scan today - it takes less than 10 minutes - your new retainer will be delivered to your home within 7 days.
  • Are all retainers the same?
Good question! There are 2 main types of retainers - clear retainers made from a thermoforming machine and Hawley type retainers (the type with colored acrylic and metal wires.) At Retainer Club - we specialize in clear retainers made from a positive pressure thermoforming machine. We use a 7 step process of polishing and finishing your retainers for a comfortable fit.
  • Do you store my 3D scan forever?
Your 3D scan is stored as long as you remain a member. We give a 3 month grace period if you decided to cancel your plan - after that we delete the files to save space on our servers.
  • Do you have partners outside of the US?
At this point, we only have partners in the continental US. If you would like to see services outside the US where you live, click the Contact Us button below.
  • When and why should I be replacing my retainer?
Orthodontists recommends regular retainer replacement at least once a year. There are many reasons as to why you may need to replace your retainer - bacteria and viruses build up on your retainer over time, or your retainer got lost, broken, or your dog ate it. Regular retainer replacement helps you protect your investment and maintain Straight Teeth for Life®.
  • Why do I need a Retainer Club subscription?
Once you have completed orthodontic treatment, you need to wear your retainers regularly in order to keep your teeth in the same position. If you stop wearing your retainer, your teeth will likely shift over time, undoing years of expensive orthodontic work. It is important to regularly replace your retainers to maintain your orthodontic results as well as good oral hygiene. Retainers, like toothbrushes, collect bacteria and viruses over time and need to be regularly replaced. In addition, retainers can stretch or break over time and the only way to ensure that they are keeping your teeth in their current position is to regularly replace your retainer, which Retainer Club makes easy!
  • My teeth moved a little bit, can a retainer fix that?
The best person to answer that question is your orthodontist. In many cases, very mild changes can be corrected with a retainer. More significant changes may require that you have orthodontic treatment to return to an ideal bite. Our orthodontic partners are the best resource to answer any questions or concerns about your orthodontic results.
  • What if I get a crown on one of my teeth?
If you get a crown or a large filling your current retainers will no longer fit properly. Once your crown is complete, you will need an updated 3D scan of your teeth to get an ideal fitting retainer. Retainer Club members can receive an updated 3D scan from our partner locations and the replacement fee is your regular member pricing.
  • Do you offer discount codes?
We created Retainer Club to make it easy, affordable, and convenient to maintain your orthodontic investment and your beautiful smile. Our retainers are 1/3 of the price of an 'in office' set of retainers. Plus - if you want to save more - upgrade to our Smile Care Plan for access to discount replacement retainers and products. Because of our low pricing, we don't have discount codes. Everyone gets a discount, every day.
  • What is your refund policy?
You can cancel your subscription or change your upcoming plan at any time by logging in to your account at https://retainerclub.com/account/login. Cancelations must be received no less than 24 hours prior to your renewal. We cannot guarantee a refund if you request cancellation after the system has processed your order as your retainers will already be in manufacturing. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to let us know! We're here for you. Live Chat: Click the "Chat" bubble at the bottom right. Hours: Monday - Friday from 6am - 5pm MST
